Tibiyo contributes E 500, 000 to Covid-19 response

Tibiyo Taka Ngwane has contributed E500, 000.00 (USD 26, 400) to the Covid-19 National Resource Mobilization campaign. The resource mobilization campaign is led by a committee appointed by His Majesty King Mswati III to support the Government of Eswatini with funds to respond to the corona virus. Managing Director Dr Absalom Themba Dlamini made the contribution.

“It has pleased His Majesty, through the Main Committee and Management of Tibiyo Taka Ngwane, to make this contribution to the committee to assist its efforts to raise much-needed resources to combat the deadly virus. His Majesty believes that it is through leadership and collective efforts that the country can successfully respond to threat,” announced Dr Dlamini. He thanked the King for leading from the front in the emergency response. He also stated that last week Tibiyo Taka Ngwane had joined the sugar industry which contributed E1.3 million (USD 69, 000.00) to the committee. Tibiyo Taka Ngwane is a major player in the country’s sugar industry, and has shares in Royal Eswatini Sugar Corporation, Ubombo Sugar Limited and other sugar projects. Prince Lonkhokhela received the contribution, and thanked Tibiyo Taka Ngwane for the support. He also thanked His Majesty for inspiring the fund raising campaign, and for making funds available to support the national response.
